Tip Toe through the tulips

Every year the tulip farm in Wynyard is open to the public for about six weeks - we arrived very early in the morning when the mist was still low .Row upon row with thousands of tulips -some small and neat others with large  loose petals . I forgot my camera so these are just from the phone - they also have fields of beautiful purple iris. The day soon warmed up and by 10am I was glad I put on lots of sun screen.
We stayed overnight at The Waterfront Wynyard Motel which has super comfy rooms and a great buffet breakfast .

Stunningly gorgeous tulips and all the more beautiful for being in the autumn. :) How fun to have friends on both halves of the globe so we can enjoy spring things twice a year!!! This must have been breath-taking to see in real life!!!
